Though Elly was afraid of our dog the first day, she warmed up pretty quickly to him. Elly has taken a special liking to her new foster dad. Tiny, our dog, is not really liking sharing his lap with another new girl, can you tell by this picture?!
You know I often tell people when a new child arrives into our home, it isn't just the new one that has so many adjustments to make--though they probably do have the most. However, most tend to forget that it is an adjustment for everyone in the house, including our pets. After a few days or weeks, all is well and things generally fall into a pattern and seem normal around here again. Then, of course, it's hard to imagine life without them! I know all you adoptive parents know what that's like, huh?!
